Delivery Driver Position
Title: Truck Driver / Warehouse Reports to: Warehouse Manager Job Purpose: Pick ups and Deliveries General Description: The delivery driver will perform manual lifting and driving work. The Delivery driver works as part of the team in providing delivery, pick up, and installation services to our clients.
Essential Functions:
Driver counts and writes down on delivery sheet the amount of product that has been delivered. Picks up product from our clients at different locations, as required. Driver also has to do the entire loading of the van. Counts and confirms accurate count of product to be delivered. Keep truck clean inside and out Drives truck in a safe manner at all times, always wearing safety belt. Drives truck to jobs and successfully completes customer requests in a professional timely manner. Report any and all maintenance problems to the warehouse manager or supervisor, then complete service write up at Penske. Keep in close contact with the warehouse manager, assuring that the warehouse manager knows location at all times. Follow all safetly regulations and precautions. Wear all required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment. Performs other related work as required.
Qualifications:
- Drivers License
- Acceptable driving record.
- Drug/Alcohol free
- Phone that can reach you at all times.
- Availability to work long hours when needed and approved by manager.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes / furniture
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
